When was the last time you were frustrated because a project was not completed on time and you didn`t know until the due date? Creating an environment that fosters open communication can eliminate many of these frustrations. The best way to start is to make your staff responsible for their projects and responsible — we call this process our internal communication contract. Whether you`re working with a new team on a new project or working for years, creating a team agreement will help you create the glue that connects your team. The communication contract model serves as the basis for clear and open communication. It eliminates all possibilities of miscommunication and eliminates last-minute excuses when the deadline comes. This communication model also serves as a model for all business projects, both inside and outside the organization.
